Gillian Brownson
She has a love of any story that finds its place in the Sea or the Stars. As a Contemporary Cyfarwydd for Beyond the Border International Storytelling Festival, Gillian explored inter-generational stories from the Anglesey Maritime Heritage, and has most recently been working as a Bard for Cambridge University’s Public Map Platform, where her provocation was, “What can we see in constellations of stars?” She also has an important working relationship with the Bangor University’s Centre for Arthurian Studies, as a Creative Practitioner in Residence, sharing Arthurian stories in Welsh mythological contexts. As part of Literature Wales’ ‘Writing Well’ cohort, Gillian is also very interested in how Creative Writing and Storytelling can help us to feel well and connected.
