We build artistic investment, networking, training and other professional development opportunities around all our projects and productions, conscious of the UK’s limited infrastructure for storytelling, and a shared desire to expand storytelling’s impact in the world.

We facilitate online and in-person gatherings, sharing what we have learned, expanding our understanding in collaboration with others.  We are advocates for best practice and are constantly learning, working in partnership with leading organisations and practitioners. We use action research methods to cross-pollinate and strengthen resilience in the sector.

Who are we supporting right now?

We work in a number of ways with the storytelling community across the UK and beyond.  At the moment we are pleased to be supporting:

UnEarthed

We are supporting Inez Aponte to develop a national touring plan for her remarkable show UnEarthed, which gently teases open complex stories around themes of migration, identity and belonging, drawing on folktales and unearthing discoveries around previously hidden histories. If you’re near Exeter, Brighton or Oxford, do check out these dates coming soon!

Binderella

Providing advice to Kestrel Morten and The Ragged Storytelling Collective on developing their tour plans.

Story Teas

We are supporting Pyn Stockman with advice on developing her performance and tour

Storytelling Pathways

We have been awarded funding from Arts Council England to work with partners, the sector and underrepresented voices in storytelling to ensure we have a strong sector in England for the future. Storytelling Pathways is the seed for the start of us growing and amplifying underrepresented voices, including talent development, regional-national partnerships and supporting stronger career pathways.

Vanessa Wolfe We are supporting storyteller Vanessa Woolf's new show, "Lights, Power, Action!" Vanessa will be turning her personal experience of working in the film industry into a captivating storytelling performance.  This will be an uplifting show that explores the landscape of work, identity, and belonging through her unique perspective as an electrician or 'girl spark'.  The show will open a discussion around broader struggles and triumphs we face in our working lives.
