Adverse Camber Tour Technical Stage Manager Role
The Gods Are All Here Tour Role: Technical Stage Manager (freelance self employed position) Start: From 4 September Contract Term: 4 September 2023 – 6 November 2023 to cover 10 x national tour dates Monday 16 October to Tuesday 31 October, plus preparation and evaluation. Fee: £3,000 inclusive of VAT if applicable, based on £250 per day x 10 days, £500 towards pre-tour discussions with all venues, risk assessments, negotiating pre-rigs and get ins, post-tour evaluation. Role Purpose
- To ensure outstanding production quality for The Gods Are All Here national urban venue tour, negotiating between Adverse Camber, venues and lead artist, working in partnership with venue technical staff teams.
- To operate lighting for all performances on tour in October 2023
- To provide set and artist transport and support as required throughout the tour, in own vehicle or hire as appropriate
- To act as ambassador for Adverse Camber in dealings with venue staff, public and artists
Operational Responsibilities • Liaison between creative team and touring venues on staffing and equipment requirements • Provide technical support during technical rehearsal (18 October) and tour, including rigging, focus, plotting, cueing and operation of lighting plan, liaising with LX designer Elanor Higgins, set up and take down of freestanding set and supporting high quality sound. • Transport artist throughout the course of the rehearsal/tour performances, to venues as required driving tour van for the purpose • Ensure outstanding production quality advising on most cost effective way to manage technical elements of production • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times with particular regard to the health, safety and welfare of customers, artist, staff and yourself • Support and promote Adverse Camber and its company policies with specific attention to Equality and Diversity, Customer Care, Health and Safety • Maintain a high standard of professional practice at all times. • Contribute to evaluation of this role and wider company procedures
