Storytellers in conversation mini-series
In a new adventure for the start of the year and leading up to National Storytelling Week, we're really excited to launch our 'Storytellers in Conversation' mini film series!
This time last year we were building up to one of our highlights of 2019 - the Leeds Storytelling Takeover at Carriageworks Theatre. During the weekend, we invited the Takeover audiences to write down the questions they'd like to ask our storytellers and pop them into a goldfish bowl. We then set up some comfy seats, a camera and filmed as the conversations unfolded...
With questions as diverse as, "What is storytelling" to "Do you use storytelling for activism?", dive into this mini series and get an insight into the ideas and experiences of some of our best-loved storytellers!
The Storytellers in Conversation series features the storytellers, Peter Chand and Xanthe Gresham; Michael Harvey and Clare Murphy & Timothy Mark Ralphs and Ana Duša.
We've launched the series with a slightly longer film that's the perfect way to kick off this mini-series, a fabulous taste of how the Takeover took shape over a weekend in March 2019. It's your chance to relive and celebrate storytelling taking over Leeds!
So, have a watch of this celebratory film and go on to enjoy the 'in conversation' series. We love these short films and hope you do too!

If you do enjoy these films, why not share them with your friends and start your own conversations?! We can't wait to hear what you think about the series.
Big thanks to Arts Council England, Federation for European Storytelling, Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds Lit Fest for helping make the Takeover and this mini series happen.
