Fire in the North Sky - London Festival Weekend!
Fire in the North Sky: Epic Tales from Finland is at London's Southbank Centre this October with four special 1 hour performances on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October. If you come for the weekend, there's an extra special chance to enjoy the astonishing music of the three virtuoso Finnish musicans performing together as Suunta on the evening of Friday 20 October as part of the Southbank's free Friday Tonic series! The Fire in the North Sky performances are guaranteed to be up close and personal, in the intimate setting of the Blue Room, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Sat 21 and Sun 22 October as part of the Southbank's Nordic Matters, World on the Brink and London Literature Festivals. We are delighted to be part of these events which look more closely at Nordic art and culture and why Nordic countries are amongst the happiest in the world, as well as how literature reminds us of our shared humanity in a world on the brink. Presenting songs and stories from Kalevala, Finland's national epic and cultural treasure, Fire in the North Sky has been a huge hit out on tour over the last couple of years, it has had an amazing reaction from audiences up and down the country:
"I haven't enjoyed anything so much as this magical performance in a long time, it was phenomenally good." "STUNNING" "MARVELLOUS" "KNOCKED OUT" "Like nothing I've ever seen before. I want everyone in the world to see it!""The quality of music and creation of atmosphere was something I've never heard before outside classical music. I didn't know folk music could sound so magical!!"
Whether or not you've seen the show before, we'd love to see you in London, so snap your tickets up quickly!
