Chris Baglin

Chris is a Welsh variety performer and actor originally from North West Wales but now living nearer to the English border.

He is magician, puppeteer and Storyteller, performing as Professor Llusern and Cyfarwydd Cymru respectively. This latter is his bardic name given to him when he was honoured with membership of the Powys Eisteddfod Gorsedd. Cyfarwydd Cymru means the storyteller of Wales and is an ancient title from the middle ages. He performs at Castles, Heritage centres and fetes across north Wales and beyond. For the past several years he has been the regular storyteller at Conwy Castle, the Dafydd ap Siencyn Festival, the Bailey Hill Festival, and the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. During the first lockdown he started a bilingual story podcast called Yma Mae Dreigiau - Here Be Dragons which mainly features stories from Wales.
When not performing himself, he travels across the country and abroad as a drama adjudicator for various festivals and organises events and workshops for Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam, a Welsh Language promotion organisation. He is also a script writer and voice over artist, is a Lead Creative Schools practitioner (an Arts Council Wales project) and is one of “Santa’s Little Helpers” at Christmas.
